Remote Sensing and Ground Observation Datasets for Farmland in Hilly and Mountainous Areas

The satellite ground synchronous ground survey dataset of winter oilseed rape seedlings in hilly and mountainous areas was used to collect ground data of oilseed rape seedlings in Hengyang County, Hengnan County, Hengshan County, Hengdong County, Qidong County, Yanfeng District, Shigu District, Zhuhui District, Zhengxiang District, Nanyue District, Leiyang City and Changning City, Qiyang County and Lengshuitan District in Hunan Province, China. The Sentinel-1 satellite transit time was synchronized in 2021 and January 2022 to collect ground data of oilseed rape seedlings, including crop parameters and soil parameters. The sample plots in the research area are based on stratified sampling and random sampling methods along the main rapeseed production area of the Xiangjiang River. In 2021, the sample plots were set up as a whole in the research area. In 2022, a centralized sampling area was established in the main rapeseed production county to set up the sample plots, and then in other counties, with each sample plot measuring 1 square meter. Among them, there is a synchronous transit Radarsat-2 satellite in the centralized sampling area during the sampling time. Our team has booked to capture fully polarized data, but Radarsat-2 is a commercial satellite. If necessary, please contact the agent to purchase Radarsat-2 data. The main content of the dataset includes: Sentinel-1 VV and VH backscattering coefficient data (in TIFF format) as of January 14, 2021; From January 10th to January 16th, 2021, 70 ground sample plots were deployed for spatial distribution (in Shp format), as well as crop and soil parameter data (in Excel format); Sentinel-1 VV and VH backscatter coefficient data (in TIFF format) for January 9 and January 21, 2022; From January 13th to January 18th, 2022, 70 sample plots were distributed on the ground (in Shp format), along with crop and soil parameter data (in Excel format); Research area vector boundary (Shp format).
