In order to summarize the research status and latest progress of target fine interpretation and application of polarization imaging radar in a timely manner, and to promote and guide the further development and application of polarization radar imaging technology in my country, the Journal of Radars published a selected topic called the "Target fine interpretation and application of polarization imaging radar". The journal has received approximately fifteen reviews and research articles written by domestic scholars who are engaged in the theory, technology, system and application research in this field. The topic finally accepted a review and five research papers. These papers started from different levels and perspectives, some sorted out the latest research trends in the field of polarization imaging radar, and some interpreted innovations in theoretical methods for specific problems, and demonstrated the effectiveness of their applications.
