Dataset of Radar Detecting Sea    2019 No.1

Guest Editor: Liu Ningbo

The current dataset is divided into 3 groups, including 53 radar data and 6 corresponding meteorological hydrological data. For details of the data, you can see the paper "Sea-Detecting X-band Radar and Data Acquisition Program" and "Instructions for the use of sea-detecting radar data".

The current data reference format is as follows:

LIU Ningbo, DONG Yunlong, WANG Guoqing, etal. Sea-detecting X-band radar and data acquisition program[J]. Journal ofRadars, 2019, 8(5): 656–667. doi: 10.12000/JR19089

Data introduction

1. 20191012110708_01_scanning ~ 20191012110757_20_scanning is the data obtained by the radar continuously scanning 20 laps with the sea state being 3~4. We can specifically query and judge according to the wave height data "wave_info_2019101200". This batch of data is mainly measured sea clutter data with no cooperative vessel target (There are four fairway buoys in radar view. See "Sea surface photo, display and control screen shot, non-cooperative target location 20191012.pdf". In addition, there may be non-cooperative small fishing boat targets). Specific data information can be obtained by reading the data header.

2. 20191012112446_01_staring.mat, 20191012113102_01_staring.mat, 20191012113434_01_staring.mat is the data of the radar antenna staring three directions (the specific azimuth value can obtain detailed information through the data header). The duration is about 3.33 seconds (corresponding to 10000 pulses).

Data introduction

1. 20191014020821_01_scanning.mat ~ 20191014020906_20_scanning.mat is the data obtained by the radar continuously scan 20 laps with the sea state being about 4. We can specifically query and judge according to the wave height data "wave_info_2019101400.nc". This batch of data is mainly measured sea clutter data with no cooperation target (There are four fairway buoys in radar view. See "display and control screen shot, non-cooperative target location 20110114.pdf"). Specific data information can be obtained by reading the data header.

2. 20191025165159_01_scanning.mat ~ 20191025165159_05_scanning.mat is the data obtained by the radar continuously scan 5 laps with the sea state being about 4. We can specifically query and judge according to the wave height data "wave_info_2019101400.nc". This batch of data is mainly measured sea clutter data with no cooperation target (There are four fairway buoys in radar view. See "Sea surface photo, display and control screen shot, non-cooperative target location 20191025.pdf"). Specific data information can be obtained by reading the data header.

Data introduction

20191112142219_01_scanning~ 20191112142219_05_scanning is the data obtained by the radar continuously scan 5 laps with the sea state being 1~2. We can specifically query and judge according to the wave height data "wave_info_2019111200". This batch of data is mainly measured sea clutter data with no cooperation target (There are four fairway buoys and a number of non-cooperative vessel targets. See "Sea surface photo, display and control screen shot, non-cooperative target location 20191112.pdf"). Specific data information can be obtained by reading the data header.
